Here’s the deal.  Head on over to TruConnect’s website and purchase their Novatel Wireless MiFi 2200 for $99.00, activate your device and you’ll only pay $4.99 per month plus $.039 for every Megabyte you use.  If you use 500MB of data you’ll only pay $24.49.  Use less, pay less.  Use more, pay more.  This might not be the answer for someone who travels a lot and wants to stream movies constantly but for web surfing and emails you’ll need to be a pretty heavy user to reach 500MB in a month.  But here’s the best thing about TruConnect’s service.  If you don’t use your MiFi in a certain month you don’t have to pay.  This is the perfect solution for the occasional traveler who still wants internet access for their tablet or laptop while they’re on the go.

TruConnect gives you access to Sprint’s nationwide 3G network so you’re not going to set the world ablaze with 4G data speeds but for standard browsing 3G is more than adequate.  Look, TruConnect is not for power users who want to use tons of data on the fastest network available but if you’re looking for an alternative to the overpriced mobile data plans that the big carriers are offering then this could be the perfect deal for you.  I’m thinking about doing it so I can occasionally use my tablet on the go and you should give it some consideration as well.  It’s a really, really good deal.
